Fan evening: LEGO Mini Figure turns 40

When: 2. November 2018 4-8 pm

LEGO House invites you to an evening about the beloved LEGO Minifigure - and how it has evolved since it first came to life 40 years ago.
The evening's facilitator is journalist Are Heiseldal from Norway, who will interview a number of experts from the LEGO Group. All participants have worked closely with the Minifigure and knows details about e.g. prototyping, license products, graphics and design. The four talks are interrupted by an hour's buffet from the LEGO House kitchen.

Duration: 4 hours.

Price: 449, - (including buffet + 1 beverage)

16.15 - 16.45 The history of the LEGO Minifigure: Why did it end up with this particular look and where did the idea come from? Showcasing Minifigure prototypes. By Kristian Reimer from the LEGO Idea House. 

16.45 - 17.30 How to fit the LEGO Minifigure into the LEGO System – keeping the integrity of the LEGO Minifigure with references to licensing figures? By Jakob Rune Nielsen, LEGO Design Manager Specialist.

17.30 – 17.45 LEGO Minifigure building activity.

17.45 – 18.45 Dinner.

18.45 – 19.15 Designing a LEGO Minifigure – How to give the LEGO Minifigure a personality and how can we communicate the LEGO brand and humor through the figures with a focus on collectables? By Tara Wike, LEGO Senior Design Manager.

19.15 – 19.55 A personal story about travelling with the LEGO Minifigure. By Matthew Ashton, Vice President LEGO Group.

19.55 – 20.00 Farewell.
